Brendan Maddigan

Executive Managing Director


Brendan Maddigan is an Executive Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman & Wakefield, where he focuses on investment sales in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint and Williamsburg neighborhoods. Mr. Maddigan has focused on brokerage of investment properties since 2004 and has handled over 200 transactions for over $500 million of consideration. Brendan began his career as Director of Sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services. Cushman & Wakefield acquired Massey Knakal on December 31, 2014.

For the first five years of his career, Brendan acted as an Acquisitions Analyst and Partner at Signature Properties, LLC in Baltimore, Maryland. He created effective models that improved the analysis of potential real estate purchases, identified rapidly appreciating areas and enhanced negotiation techniques. Finding distressed property became a specialty; through which he was able to acquire and sell several projects including suburban land from foreclosure auction to subdivide, city tax sale certificates and several urban residential properties in need of renovation.

Simultaneously with this endeavor, Brendan was a real estate sales agent. In the second half of 2007 alone, he sold $2.6 million worth of real estate, representing 22 sides of buyers or sellers. Brendan’s past experience also includes the marketing of a 15,000 square foot office building for lease or sale, a 2.43 acre development site with plans for almost 200 apartments for sale and a 6,400 square foot mixed-use building involved in a short-sale. Acting as a consultant for a town home developer, he advised on green building technology and LEED accreditation. A personal highlight was managing a historic renovation of a three story brick townhouse in storied Fells Point.

Brendan is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with concentrations in Management and Entrepreneurship and History.
