Biography

Alexander Ball is an Associate in the Capital Markets Group of Cushman & Wakefield, where he works alongside Guthrie Garvin, Senior Managing Director, focusing on investment sales in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Alex was a Vice President at Criterion Management where he represented private wealth advisors in broker-dealer transitions. He held a senior role in the company’s strategic approach and analyzation of target clientele. Alex closed over $430 million in AUM associated with fees through deal negotiations with firms such as J.P. Morgan Securities, Wells Fargo Advisors, Raymond James Financial, and Hightower Securities. Before his time with Criterion Management, Alex was a Fly Fishing Guide in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

He has continued his love for fly fishing with a strong commitment to Project Healing Waters, a charity dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing.

Alex graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communication. He was the recipient of his chosen major’s “Award for Outstanding Achievement” and was a Teacher’s Assistant for various Advanced Public Speaking courses. Outside the classroom, Alex was the President of SLU’s Hunting and Fishing Club. During his senior year, Alex was an intern at Massey Knakal Realty Services, which was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield on December 31, 2014.
