Greenwich Village is a neighborhood located in Manhattan bordering the West Village, the East Village, Union Square, NoHo and SoHo.
Named after Greenwich, England, the neighborhood has been historically considered a center for a vibrant bohemian scene. Today, it is home to many off-Broadway venues, music clubs and comedy clubs, along with Washington Square Park and the NYU and New School campuses.
