Carnegie Hill is a neighborhood located in Manhattan (part of Manhattan Community Board 8) bordering the Upper East Side, Harlem and Central Park.
Considered one of New York's most expensive neighborhoods, Carnegie Hill is home to a number of opulent single-family townhouses and townhouses converted into apartment buildings, all protected as part of the Carnegie Hill Historic District. The historic townhouses provide residents with ample sunlight and lend the neighborhood a sense of openness rarely found in other areas of Manhattan. As one of few Manhattan neighborhoods to retain its 19th century character, Carnegie Hill offers residents a quiet, suburban setting filled with all the conveniences of chic, urban life.
